Lluis Barbadillo Honored with Tribute Plaque in Sitges’ Plaça del Artistes

The city of Sitges honored the artist Lluís Barbadillo with a tribute plaque in Plaça del Artistes. The plaque bears his signature and serves as recognition of his artistic career and trajectory. A crowd of friends and admirers of the artist gathered to witness the presentation. Accompanied by Mayor Jordi Baijet and Culture Councilor Gabi Serrano, Barbadillo pulled the curtain to reveal the plaque.

Lluís Barbadillo is a painter and art curator born in Barcelona and residing in Sitges. Barbadillo has roots in fashion and design, utilizing a plastic language with expressionist touches and sometimes Cuban influences in his collages.

Plaça del Artistes, located in Escorxador, is where the Sitges city hall recognizes the contributions of artists from various fields through commemorative plaques.
